At Logo Logo it is no secret that we love timelapse videos, so armed with a GoPro, Canon SLR and our best cheering voices. James and I headed down to the seafront to film the final straight of the Brighton Marathon 2015.
Behind the scenes GoPro Marathon Luckily for us (and the runners!) the Spring Sun was shining, giving us excellent lighting conditions and dramatic shadows to work with. With a great roof top vantage point from the Embassy Court. It gave us bird’s eye view of the marathon and the beach.
Here is the video –
The technical/mathematical part of timelapse, we shot with a GoPro Hero 4 Silver and a Canon 70D with 18-135mm lens. The Canon had an interval timer remote to fire the shutter once a second. We set up 400 shots (so 400 seconds) per scene. At 25 frames a seconds this gave us roughly 5-10seconds of footage that could go into the final video edit. We used Lightroom to edit the images, QuickTime Pro 7 to produce the timelapses and Premiere to bring all the footage together.
Making sure to release the video on Monday morning, we burnt the midnight oil!
